The car was later sold in the 1980s to Mr Ted Carson of Pompano Beach, Florida, USA where it remained in his ownership until 2000 when it was sold by his to estate to the next owner in Australia

According to notes within the history file, the car was shipped to Australia on 20th August 2000 and delivered to Kellend Automotive of McGraths Hill who began the extensive cosmetic restoration programme. The car was totally dismantled and bead blasted before the bodyshell and chassis were sent to Vaughn Ryan fabrication in Riverstone for bodywork and rust repairs, with new inner and outer sills fitted, new door skins and lower firewall sheet metal

Following the completion of the bodywork the car was correctly re-painted by ‘The Paint Refinishers’ of McGraths Hill in the original Giallo Fly and satin black where applicable. The interior was retrimmed by renowned trimmer Ron Farlow, known for his multiple concours wins for Ferrari interiors. The seats were fully re-trimmed in Black leather with new door trim panels and ‘mouse hair’ fabric on the dashboard and correct and original vinyl on the sills, centre console and original specification carpets were fitted

The Dino was shown at the 2009 Ferrari Club NSW Concours where it scored a well-deserved class win, a testament to the high quality of its restoration, images of the event are retained within the history file

In 2013 the Dino was the subject of a mechanical restoration and the engine was stripped, cylinder heads removed with all new valves and guides fitted. Shortly after this work was completed the Dino was repatriated to the UK where it joined a respected private collection and was maintained by JD Classics. In 2015 the car was sent to JD Classics to re-paint the engine bay to concours standards and replace the steering rack and brake servo. Following the works the car was inspected by Ferrari Classiche and the full Red book ‘Classiche Certification’ was issued on 14th December 2016, shortly after the current owner acquired the car
