1999 Ferrari F355 GTS F1
Location: United Kingdom
Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1994, the Ferrari F355 marked the return of a beautiful Ferrari after what some would call the brutally designed 80’s cars. The F355 was an evolution of the 348 that was not only prettier but had superb drivability, improved performance and reliability. Apart from a small increase in engine displacement from 3.4L to 3.5L, the 355 saw the introduction of 5 valves per cylinder heads. This new head design allowed for better intake permeability, and resulted in an engine that was considerably more powerful, now producing 375 horsepower. The car was first available in manual transmission but followed with an F1 paddle operated transmission in 1997.
Launched in 1995, the Ferrari F355 GTS was based on the GTB but featured a removable roof (Gran Turismo Spider). The GTS had superb functionality with the ability to easily remove the hard top roof and store it behind the seats.
This Ferrari F355 GTS was supplied new via Maranello Sales LTD of Egham, Surrey and optioned in the highly desirable combination of Rosso Corsa over a Beige leather interior. Furlonger supplied the car to its most recent custodian several years ago who has cherished the F355 GTS and used it sparingly. The car has now covered a mere 10,458 miles and presents excellently in all regards. The F355 GTS is accompanied by its original Schedoni leather book pack, service book, handbooks and both keys.
Presented in concours condition throughout, this F355 GTS F1 is a reminder of what an F355 was like when nearly new!
