The Man with the Golden Gun

Fleming, Ian.
The Man with the Golden Gun
Jonathan Cape, London, 1965

First edition, first impression, second state binding as usual, without the gun design blocked in gilt on the front cover, which proved too expensive and was dropped after the first 940 copies had been sent abroad. The Man with the Golden Gun was Fleming's twelfth Bond novel, and was adapted into a film starring Roger Moore in 1974.

Octavo. Original black cloth, spine lettered in gilt (Gilbert's binding A, no priority), green and white endpapers. With the dust jacket.

Spine gently rolled, very faint foxing to edges; a near-fine copy in the fresh dust jacket.
