MOTOR RACING BUILDING
This is a proposed design for a privately funded motor racing hospitality building in the Middle East.
The streamlined architecture represents movement and speed with a façade that incorporates the display of classic and supercars. Externally, the building picks up various automotive references such as the sinuous curvy façade and the ventilation grilles.
The building straddles both sides of the racing track with the garage pits located on one side and the front of house and the reception lobby areas located on the opposite side. This creates new views of the track for visitors and creates a direct view into the garage pits from the main entrance.
Various hospitality spaces, meeting rooms, lounges and spa areas are located on the upper floors, topped off by a large roof terrace which accommodates a bar and restaurant and a Perspex bottomed swimming pool that ‘floats’ above the track allowing direct views of the cars racing below.
